The Manager II, Group Product is responsible for developing and driving key marketing and business objectives for the franchise. This includes setting strategic direction for the worldwide business, meeting revenue and profitability targets globally, building a high performance marketing team and cross-functional initiatives to integrate marketing strategies with R&D, operations, clinical, reimbursement and sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops annual and long-term objectives with direct reports. Measures performance of direct reports against success criteria and provides feedback. Ability to manage difficult reporting relationships and develop performance improvement plans. Attracts/hires and develops top marketing talent
  • Develops/executes integrated franchise marketing plans and budgets, with minimal oversight, annually. Resolves core team issues proactively & quickly in a cross-functional manner
  • Manages execution of specific channel plans in ways consistent with product messaging strategies.
  • Identifies and drives new business/ acquisition opportunities for franchise
  • Engages directly in issue resolution to assure the core teams achieve the project objectives
  • Influences global strategies and field execution through active participation in planning
  • Applies cross-franchise/functional knowledge in franchise/industry to lead teams in solving complex project issues
  • Works within and makes recommendations for improvements to systems to achieve business objectives (e.g., product development, launch strategies, etc)
  • Provides leadership to key functional managers, including R&D, sales, reimbursement, new product forecasting, C&P, clinical and regulatory to drive business objectives
  • Raises and facilitates difficult personal and process conflicts or issues inside and outside the team. Builds cross-franchise team competence. Actively coaches others within marketing and other functions.
  • Demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality. Understands and complies with all regulations governing the quality systems.

    Establish and support a work environment of continuous improvement that supports BSC’s Quality Policy, Quality System and the appropriate regulations for the area they support. Ensure all employees are trained to do their work and their training is documented

    Qualifications:
    Undergraduate degree required
    MBA optional
    Demonstrated record of success and leadership
    Possess excellent coaching and leadership skills
    2-4 years of marketing management experience
    3-5 years of product management experience
